2730 Batlow

Think of Australian apples, and the name Batlow comes to mind. Nestled in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains, with a climate that is not too hot or cold, an elevation of 770m, the Batlow mountain air is crisp and skies crystal blue. Undulating hills, rich basalt soils, native timber & pine forests as well as apple orchards with their white hail netting, scatter the district. A colourful town all year round, with snow in winter, lush green & pink apple blossoms in spring, the warm sun tinting the landscape in summer and apples on the trees in autumn.
