Hurstville has been reinvigorated by Chinese migrants. A couple of decades ago it was slowly going out of business, but the tide was turned by a wave of people prepared to invest and work. It bustles with the energy of people who see possibilities, value trade and what hits me when I’m there, value family. There was once an outcry because there was not one sign in a shop on Forest Road written in english. For me that was a great reason to go there, get out of my comfort zone, and meet, and ask, and learn.
